15^th Symposium Preconference – The Many Faces of Pain: Functional Models for Assessment and Treatment

More than 50% of Americans live with chronic or recurrent pain, but less than one-third of those with chronic pain say prescription medications have worked well. The 15^th International Symposium on Functional Medicine presented an innovative, high-definition view of pain that reveals the critical assessments and treatment plans that your patients need. The Preconference focused on the comprehensive functional medicine model for the mechanisms of pain and the collision between fatigue and pain syndromes, whereas the Plenary presentations expanded on the conventional models while exploring where pain originates and the many ways we perceive it. The Concurrent workshops speakers provided the most effective clinical skills for a variety of pain syndromes. A reinvented and expanded approach to assessment, treatment, and management of patients with pain, leading to improved patient outcomes and satisfaction.

CD format versus MP3 CD format:
MP3 is a digital format that compresses large audio files into small files. An average CD will hold up to 80 minutes of sound and that is it. An MP3 CD can hold upwards of 70 hours of sound. The most noteworthy difference between CD’s and MP3’s is MP3 CD’s are not compatible with most car stereos and later model home stereo systems that don’t support MP3 files. They must be played on a computer or uploaded to an MP3 listening device.
