The basics about mindfulness and cognitive-behavioral therapy will be explained, along with the re-search findings which show that aerobic exercise helps both ADD and depression through improving brain functioning. Participants will become acquainted with ten mindfulness skills, four CBT methods and five types of aerobic exercise which can help their clients. Participants will see how they can be the instruments who help their clients deliver themselves from distraction to distinction.
Educational Objectives:
- List ten (10) Mindfulness skills with which you can quickly empower your clients.
- Describe four CBT methods to rapidly improve the depressed mood (commonly coexists with ADD) of clients.

Joseph Sestito, MSSA, LISW-S, completed his Master of Science in Social Administration (MSSA) at Case Western Reserve University in 1992. He has 10 years of leadership experience in a residential treatment center specializing in the treatment of children and adolescents with emotional and behavioral problems. He has 15 plus years of experience working as a psychotherapist with adults and children. Joseph specializes in working to help clients overcome anxiety, depression and anger issues. He is an expert in cognitive behavioral therapy and Eriksonian approaches in psychotherapy, and has written and presented extensively in these areas.
